Redevelopment of Residential Apartments

This studio centers around Construction Project Formulation and Appraisal, with a focus on conducting a feasibility study for the Redevelopment of Residential Apartments. The project was proposed due to the structurally unsafe and deteriorating condition of the existing buildings, which posed a risk to the residents. The core aim of the redevelopment is to provide safe, modern, and reliable infrastructure while greatly enhancing the overall living standards of the community. With an estimated cost of ₹500 crores and a planned timeline of 2 years, the project is both ambitious and essential. It reflects a well-planned effort to rejuvenate a critical urban housing cluster.

The redevelopment spans a site area of 22,754 square meters and includes construction of 300 Permanent Housing Components (PHC) to rehouse the existing residents, ensuring no displacement. Additionally, 454 Free Sale Components (FSC) and 32 commercial shops will be constructed for the developer to sell and generate returns. This strategic mix of public and private assets supports the project's financial viability. The plan balances social welfare with commercial incentives, making it an attractive and sustainable venture. It stands as a model for future redevelopment initiatives in dense urban areas.
