Redevelopment of Railway Station

This brownfield redevelopment project envisions the transformation of an existing railway station into a world-class infrastructure with Multi-Modal Transport Hub (MMTH), aiming to integrate multiple transit systems such as railways, metro, buses, and private vehicles under one roof. With an EPC contract at a cost of ₹2,400 crores and spread across 125 acres, the project will house two 16-storey office towers, a 54,900 sqm passenger concourse, and 8.6 lane-km of six-lane elevated roads. To streamline cargo operations, two dedicated parcel buildings are also included. The design emphasizes seamless connectivity, modern infrastructure, and efficient land use. It represents a major leap in India's transport modernization efforts.

The MMTH is planned to increase daily passenger handling capacity from 1.2 lakh to 3.2 lakh, catering to the growing urban population and travel demand. Aimed at achieving maximum efficiency and user comfort, the facility focuses on accessibility, sustainability, and commercial viability through retail and office spaces. With a targeted completion period of 36 months, the project is expected to be completed by 2027, bringing significant benefits to commuters and the local economy. This redevelopment sets a benchmark in urban transit planning, serving as a model for future transport infrastructure across the country.
